White passenger ships and colourful sailing boats float along on the turquoise blue water. There is also the opportunity of playing football, beach volleyball and much more here.

Sports and event capital

Klagenfurt makes a good impression as a sports and event capital, particularly in the summer: The highlights include the Carinthia Ironman Austria – a spectacular sporting event for the toughest athletes -, the Beach Volleyball Grand Slam and the “Run in Carinthia” event. Numerous competitions motivate everyone to participate and are also suitable for those, who do not consider themselves professionals, as well as for children.
