General
Monday to Saturday, 3 trips run from Klagenfurt to Ljubljana and back. On Sundays, there is 1 trip.
Yes, trips take place as indicated in the timetable. Service is limited on Sundays (1 trip).
The line is operated by Reiseburo et Busreisen Juwan GmbH.
Travel documents must be carried for cross-border trips. Passport or ID card (NOT a driver's license). No documents required for the Klagenfurt-Unterloibl Tscheppaschlucht, Klagenfurt-Loibltal Gh. Deutscher Peter, Klagenfurt-Loiblpass Tunnel Nord routes.
2 pieces of luggage + 1 carry-on are free (max 85x65x45cm, max 25kg). From the 3rd piece: 2 EUR per suitcase.
Only cross-border transport is permitted (Austria to Slovenia and vice versa). Exceptions: Klagenfurt-Unterloibl Tscheppaschlucht, Klagenfurt-Loibltal Gh. Deutscher Peter, Klagenfurt-Loiblpass Tunnel Nord.
You will be notified at least 6 hours in advance. In case of short-notice changes, an alternative route will be used but arrival times cannot be guaranteed.
Animals, bicycles, and furniture are excluded. Small animals in transport containers are allowed. Guide dogs for the visually impaired are transported.

Under 10: must be accompanied by someone 18+. Ages 10-15: written confirmation from a legal guardian is required. 15+: can travel alone. For school/group trips, the teacher or supervisor is responsible.

Yes, except for certain stops (Kranj AP, Unterloibl Tscheppaschlucht, Loibltal GH Deutscher Peter, Loiblpass Tunnel Nord) which are served only on reservation. "RUF" trips are by reservation only.

These are trips available only when booked online at www.alpeadrialine.com/ticket at least 12 hours before departure. They are separate minibus trips outside the regular service, only from/to Ljubljana Aerodrome.
Because they operate outside regular service hours with rented minibuses. There is a discount for 2 or more people.
Tickets count as an invoice under the Austrian VAT Act (USG), entitling you to input tax deduction.
Online, at the Ljubljana bus station (Avtobusna Postaja) with seat reservation, or directly on the bus (no guaranteed seat). Online payment by credit card; cash only on the bus. "RUF" trips can only be paid by card online.
Currently only single tickets are available.
Free cancellation until 6:00 PM the day before. After that: 50% fee. Changes can be made by email to ticket@alpeadrialine.com before 6:00 PM the day before. Tickets purchased at Ljubljana station: no exchange or cancellation. Groups: cancellation before 6:00 PM the day before = processing fee (5%, min 10 EUR); up to 6 hours before departure = 50%; after = 100%.
Cash only. 200 EUR and 500 EUR bills are not accepted.
At the latest 2 hours and at the earliest 3 months before departure.
One-way and round-trip. Categories: full fare, seniors, youth, and children.
