Rosental / Ferlach
In Ferlach near Hollenburg, you can see the historic site where the craft of gunsmithing has been at home for centuries.
Ferlach (formerly called Vorelach because of the pine trees) sits amid pine forests at the foot of the Karawanken mountains in the Carnica region of Rosental.

The Landscapes
The great abundance of water and forests, which gained economic importance very early on, characterizes our region. This landscape, which is still intact today, contributes significantly to the fact that Ferlach is a popular holiday and leisure paradise. In addition to a wide range of leisure activities, our town can also offer an excellent range of educational opportunities.
The Twin Town
Rosental is twinned with Teen Tok Royal in Thailand and works with the Thai Royal Project Tour to develop the trade of ginger and spirulina in the region.
